FAN: OMG! I found a miracle hair oil for hair growth, re-growth, receding hairline, and baldness!
LOGICAL PERSON: Oh, really? How is it possible for one oil to cure all these issues and work on every kind of skin? Medically, that sounds impossible.
FAN: Dude, it’s Ayurveda. You can trust it!
LOGICAL PERSON: Oh, right, because ancient wisdom always trumps scientific evidence. But is it dermatologically tested or approved by any medical standards?
FAN: Yaar, no, it’s made by Adivasi tribes who have 100 years of tapasiya and secret “Jari Booti” knowledge. Just check the reviews; they’re real, and I’m using it too.
LOGICAL PERSON: Wow, ancient secrets and online reviews? Sounds legit. So, what results have you seen?
FAN: Dude, my hair fall has stopped, and I can see tiny new hairs on my head. This miracle happened in just 10 days!
lOGICAL PERSON:
I started feeling quite the same when I saw my friends and colleagues all using Adivasi hair oil and recommending it like a miracle from God. Without giving a harsh YES or NO, I decided to understand and observe this oil dilemma, which is spreading from the online to the offline world.
Without giving it a second thought as a marketing person, I saw this entire circus as a WOM marketing strategy, Word-of-mouth marketing (WOM marketing) occurs when consumers discuss a company’s product or service with their friends, family, and close acquaintances.
On the other hand with my few clicks on Google, I found too many influencers are showing this product and recommending it to followers with all their influence ability and tactics, and influencers like Mr. Indian Hacker, Fukra Insaan, and even famous Bollywood celebrity and director like Farah Khan.
Now this triggered my mind “Abe this modern-day marketing strategy for the building process but I thought to do a little more homework, all it is showing results, and maybe it is useful, and marketing is not a bad thing.
So, here we go!
Adivasi Hair Oil Pro-Cons and Observation
- Adivasi Hair oil makers are hiring social media influencers and celebrities for endorsement and marketing, and such personalities and influencers never upfront accept any offer they work under a marketing agency to hide their fees and to main industry decorum. So, it is clear that Adivasi Hair oil makers are connected with influencer marketing agencies.
- I saw ads on YouTube, which means they are connected with an ad agency and doing complete digital marketing.
- Influencer marketing + Digital Marketing + WOM strategy, these tactics are signs of a strong and thoughtful strategy for any fast-moving consumer brand.
- I checked the label of the brand and I found that the oil is not medically tested or dermatologically approved.
- Ingredients are uncleared and no instructions are mentioned to do or not to do.
Still, it is helping and supporting everyone, right?
So What is it?
Is it Minoxidil? or any other chemical?
Well, Maybe I’ve not done enough research, and if everyone is getting results from this like alcohol makes everyone get a hangover, then it definitely has Minoxidil, and if yes 100% then you need to know the side effects of it.
I can mention some of the potential side effects include:
- Scalp irritation: Itching, redness, dryness, and flaking of the scalp.
- Unwanted facial hair growth: In some cases, minoxidil can cause hair growth on the face or other parts of the body.
- Dizziness: Some users may experience dizziness or lightheadedness.
- Rapid heart rate (tachycardia): An increased heart rate can occur.
- Weight gain: Unexplained weight gain or swelling in the hands, feet, or body.
- Chest pain: Some users may experience chest pain.
- Headaches: Headaches can occur as a side effect.
- Difficulty breathing: Shortness of breath, especially when lying down.
- Edema: Swelling in the hands or feet.
- Allergic reactions: Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or swelling, particularly of the face, tongue, or throat.
- Spermatogenesis: Long-term use or a high amount of minoxidil use may affect the sperm count and libido but it is reversible once you stop it and use proper medication.
I’m not against minoxidil treatment but you need proper medical supervision guidance while taking such treatment because in minoxidil treatment doctors understand your hair fall and skin condition, and the right amount of minoxidil for you, they also recommend appropriate supplement and medicine to overcome and fight the sides, such complete and combined treatment only provide a result, also suitable for us.
NOTE: Minoxidil works in two ways: either as a permanent solution after a few months of treatment, where your body receives enough nutrition and adopts a better lifestyle to sustain the results, or as a temporary solution where you use Minoxidil and start seeing the desired results. However, once you stop using Minoxidil, your situation reverts back to how it was before. Also, remember that brands always love high retention rates and hate profit churn rates.
Now, whether the presence of minoxidil is available or not is only possible when the brand goes with the medical tests and matches the quality standard, then it will be transparent and authenticate.

My recommendation:
- There is no magic or miracle oil that will cure everything.
- Hair issues depend on person-to-person lifestyle and medical and physical conditions, as well as genetical conditions.
- Hair treatment depends on three factors blood nutrition and flaws, weakness or lack of vitamins like zinc, biotin, and skin problems.
- To fight these issues you need medical support and guidance with a complete cure plan with oil or serum depending on skin factor, shampoo as recommended by a doctor, and supplements to support overall growth.
“Be careful when you follow the masses because sometimes the ‘m’ is silent”
In conclusion, I can say Adivasi hair oil is a great example of the marketing strategies and potential risks associated with it. We should emphasize the importance of thorough research and medical supervision when considering hair treatments, cautioning against relying solely on influencers and online reviews. The key takeaway is that individual hair issues require personalized medical guidance and a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to specific needs.
